Hi, I’m Iris
The artist behind Iris Bakker Studio, based in Denmark. My work revolves around people and the connections we create through drawing. I specialize in live portrait sessions, workshops and murals, all rooted in a love for spontaneity, presence, and human interaction.
I believe that drawing can be a way to truly see each other. When I draw someone live, it’s not just about capturing how they look – it’s about being present together in a shared moment. My portraits are fast, intuitive, and imperfect in the best way. They’re raw, honest, and full of life.
My background is in interaction design from Designschool Kolding, and over the years I’ve worked on a wide range of projects – exhibitions, workshops, teaching, and collaborative art in public spaces. My work has been shown in Croatia, the Netherlands, Germany, Greenland, and across Denmark.
